インド洋をまたにかけるウナギ
Anguilla in the Indian
- インド洋には、Anguilla marmorata、A. bicolor、A. interioris、A. bengalensis、A. mossambicaの5種が知られている。すべて主に熱帯域に分布する。
- オオウナギは、遺伝的に異なる複数の繁殖集団があると考えられており、太平洋の熱帯域にも広く分布する。
- 太平洋や大西洋のウナギ属魚類に比べて研究が進んでおらず、科学的な知見があまり多くない。
